This track has been created especially for New PIMS Administrators with little experience submitting PIMS data.  Participants will examine the PIMS process and gain an understanding of the basic skills needed to submit high quality data to PIMS.

This track has been created especially for Entry Level PIMS Administrators, new to their role, with less than one year of experience submitting PIMS data.  Participants will examine the PIMS process and gain an understanding of the basic skills needed to submit high quality data to PIMS. Upon completion of this course, participants will reinforce skills in  uploading data into PIMS, resolving errors, coordinating with data entry staff, reporting to school administration, analyzing reports, gathering requirements, and checking for accuracy.

This track has been created especially for PIMS Administrators, with a minimum of one year of experience, responsible for the collection and reporting of educational data. Upon completion of this course, participants will increase skills in: coordinating with LEA administration, coordinating with data personnel, incorporating prior knowledge to analyze complex data scenarios, interpret how attribution and graduation rates impact state initiatives.

The objective of the Career and Technology Education (CTE) Specialty Module is to reinforce current knowledge of CTE procedures. The CTE Specialty Module consists of online exercises, including resource reviews, forum discussions, and quizzes. Upon completion of this module participants will reinforce knowledge in current terminology as well as technical and practical procedures, while providing an opportunity to gain endorsement for their PDE certificate.

The objective of the Child Accounting Specialty Module is to reinforce current knowledge of child accounting procedures. The Child Accounting Specialty Module consists of online exercises, including resource reviews, forum discussions, and quizzes. Upon completion of this module participants will reinforce knowledge in current terminology as well as technical and practical procedures, while providing an opportunity to gain endorsement for their PDE certificate.

The goal of the Educator Effectiveness Specialty Module is to provide educators with a general overview of how data impacts their assessment through the Educator Effectiveness system. The term "educator" includes teachers, all professional and temporary professional employees, education specialists, and school administrators/principals. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has approved an evaluation tool and provides guidance with best practices.

The objective of the Internal Snapshot Specialty Module is to reinforce current knowledge. The purpose of an internal snapshot is to capture records from each LEA at a specific point in time. Internal snapshots will occur various times throughout the school year and contain records for students who have an active enrollment record for the internal snapshot date. Upon completion of this module participants will reinforce knowledge of technical and practical procedures, while providing an opportunity to gain endorsement for their PDE certificate.

The PIMS Delete Utility, developed by eScholar, provides Pennsylvania Local Education Agencies (LEAs) with the ability to delete data in a specific template from a specific collection according to the parameters set by the PDE.
